Dr. Aarti A. Kinikar is Pediatrician with a special interest in Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Hematology and Neonatology with over 31 years of experience in teaching, clinical and research in Pediatrics. She is the recipient of Dr. Sharadini Dahanukar – Best Medical Teacher Award from MUHS, Nashik. She has been awarded the Indian Patent for low-cost Bubble CPAP circuit that saved many lives during H1N1Pandemic and now Covid-19 Pandemic. She is also a Fogarty Scholar from John Hopkins University, USA. She is Principal Investigator on various National and International Clinical Pediatric Research Trials in collaborations with networks from USA, UK, South Africa, Thailand, etc. for last the 20 years and credited with over 90 research publications in national and international journals. She mentors young researchers for ICMR and other institutional research projects. She is member of Pune Task Force for Covid-19 and instrumental in formulating Pediatric and Neonatal Covid 19 management guidelines. Life member of IAP, NNF, and National Trainer for various GOI National Programmes.
Presently Dr. Aarti is the Nodal Officer for Covid-19 at BJ Government Medical College, Pune. She is appointed as Co-Chair of TApHOD TreatAsia Network for 2020-2021. She is working as a Pediatric BJGMC site PI for REPORT 1 and REPORT 2 research studies.
